This Privacy Policy describes how Keler Group LLC, doing business as TipaTech (“TipaTech,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, discloses, and retains information in connection with the business-to-business website and experience at b2b.tipatech.me and related paths under /business (the “B2B Site”). By using the B2B Site, you acknowledge this Policy.
1. Introduction & scope
This Policy applies only to the B2B Site. It is separate from our consumer-focused privacy notice for the public marketing site (for example, content served at our consumer domains such as b2c.tipatech.me or tipatech.com), which is governed by its own privacy policy.
The B2B Site is intended for business representatives - including distributors, plumbers and contractors, retailers, property managers, and their authorized personnel - who interact with TipaTech in a commercial capacity.
The B2B Site is designed to facilitate wholesale-oriented product information, quote requests, AI-assisted sales conversations (Alex), optional web search augmentation where configured, and payment processing through Stripe payment links when offered.
If you access the B2B Site from outside the United States, your information may be transferred to and processed in the United States.
2. Information we collect
2a. Business contact information (provided by you)
Depending on how you interact with us, we may collect:
- Identifiers and business contact details: company name, contact name, work email address, phone number, and business address elements (for example city and state) when you submit a quote request, contact form, or lead capture flow linked to Alex.
- Business classification: business type (such as distributor, plumber/contractor, retailer, property manager, or other) and related commercial preferences you provide.
- Tax or registration identifiers: where you provide them in connection with wholesale account onboarding or similar programs, we may collect tax identification or comparable business registration information as submitted by you.
- Sources include: the B2B quote request experience, the B2B contact form routed through our contact API, Alex chat conversations, and the optional in-chat lead capture form submitted to our leads API.
2b. Quote & commercial transaction data
When you request a partnership quote through the B2B Site, we process information such as:
- Company and contact details listed above.
- Commercial preferences: selected product interests, estimated volume ranges, territory or notes you include in the request.
- A quote reference identifier returned to your browser for your records, and internal routing information used by our team to respond.
- Payment-related context: when a Stripe payment link is created (for example through Alex or our payment-link API), we process SKU, customer tier, quantity, negotiated discount parameters, optional payer contact fields supplied for the link, and resulting link metadata - not full payment card numbers on TipaTech servers (see Section 5).
2c. AI sales assistant (Alex)
For the Alex experience we may process:
- Chat content: messages you send and assistant responses.
- Session and context fields: a browser session identifier, current page path, optional structured “lead info” you have already shared, and a coarse conversation phase label used to tailor responses.
- Tool-derived commercial signals: when Alex invokes configured tools, structured outputs (such as pricing checks, discount validation, or lead capture payloads) are generated server-side and may be logged or stored as part of the conversation record or downstream notifications.
- OpenAI: message content and relevant context are transmitted to OpenAI APIs to generate responses. TipaTech does not use your B2B chat content to train our own models. OpenAI’s processing is governed by its published policies - please review openai.com/policies (including API data handling materials applicable to your interaction).
- Optional web search: when enabled in our environment, certain user prompts may trigger limited searches through a configured third-party search provider to supplement Alex’s answers; any such queries are subject to that provider’s terms and privacy notice.
2d. Technical & usage data (collected automatically)
We collect standard technical data when you use the B2B Site, such as:
- IP address, browser type, device type, and timestamps.
- Pages visited, referring URLs, and similar HTTP request metadata.
- Cookies and local storage as described in Section 7 (for example session, security, and preference storage managed through our cookie consent tools where applicable).
Please do not submit highly sensitive personal information (such as government ID numbers unrelated to ordinary KYC, full payment card numbers in chat, or health records) through chat or forms unless we expressly request it through a secure channel.
3. How we use your information
We use B2B Site information for purposes including:
- Processing and responding to quote requests and commercial inquiries.
- Generating and delivering Stripe-hosted payment links for approved B2B transactions.
- Operating Alex, including tool calls for pricing, discounts, payment links, and lead capture.
- Communicating with you about your inquiries, quotes, and orders.
- Managing partner relationships, internal routing, and (where applicable) account tier discussions.
- Improving the B2B Site, product materials, and support quality.
- Complying with law, enforcing our terms, and protecting rights, safety, and security.
- Detecting, investigating, and helping prevent fraud, abuse, or unauthorized access.
4. How we share your information
We may disclose information to the following categories of recipients:
- Stripe, Inc. - to create and process Stripe Payment Links and related checkout events. Card and bank authentication data are collected by Stripe on its hosted flows. See Stripe’s privacy notice at stripe.com/privacy.
- OpenAI - to generate Alex responses via API, as described in Section 2c.
- Internal notifications - for example, business contact details and inquiry summaries may be sent to collaboration tools such as Slack (Slack Technologies, LLC, part of Salesforce, Inc.) for sales operations.
- Email delivery - transactional messages may be sent through our email infrastructure (for example provider-based SMTP configured for TipaTech).
- Service providers that host the B2B Site, operate databases (including conversation and lead storage), provide logging and security monitoring, or support similar functions - subject to contractual safeguards appropriate to the service.
- Legal and professional advisors where reasonably necessary.
- Authorities or third parties when required by law, subpoena, or to protect rights and safety.
We do not sell your business contact information for money. We do not share contact lists with unaffiliated third parties for their independent marketing use without appropriate consent or legal basis.
5. Payment processing & Stripe
Payments initiated from the B2B experience are processed through Stripe, Inc. When you use a Stripe payment link (for example generated via Alex or our B2B payment-link API), you are directed to Stripe’s hosted payment experience.
- TipaTech does not store full payment card numbers, CVV values, or complete bank account credentials on our application servers in connection with those hosted flows.
- Stripe may collect additional information from you during checkout (such as billing details and authentication data) under its own policies.
- We receive confirmation and reconciliation data (for example event types, identifiers, amounts, currency, status, timestamps, and metadata you or our tools supplied) through Stripe webhooks and related logging for finance and operations.
- Payment links are configured with an operational expiry window (for example, on the order of 72 hours from generation) as a security and collections control; treat links as time-sensitive.
Stripe’s handling of payment data is described in its privacy policy: https://stripe.com/privacy.
6. Data retention
We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes above, including:
- Business contact and lead records: for the duration of the active commercial relationship and up to three (3) additional years where needed for legal, tax, and operational defensibility, unless a longer period is required by law.
- Quote and order-related records: up to seven (7) years where retained for accounting, tax, and commercial dispute resolution - including records held in email, payment systems, and internal databases as applicable.
- Alex chat messages stored in our databases: up to twelve (12) months from the date of the conversation for service quality, security review, and dispute handling, subject to backup, legal hold, and system constraints; older records may be deleted or anonymized as part of routine maintenance.
- Contact form submissions handled through our contact API: up to twenty-four (24) months unless a longer period is required.
- Technical logs: on the order of twelve (12) months for security and reliability, unless a longer period is required for incident investigation.
Retention may be extended where necessary to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, or enforce our agreements.
7. Cookies & tracking technologies
The B2B Site uses cookies and similar technologies for purposes such as:
- Essential functionality and security - for example session continuity and abuse protection.
- Preference storage - such as theme selection where stored in the browser.
- Optional analytics - where enabled through our cookie preference center, analytics technologies may be used to understand aggregate usage of the B2B Site. Our preference interface reflects what is active at the time of your visit.
You may adjust cookie preferences using the control in the site footer (or equivalent entry point presented with the banner).
Where required by applicable U.S. state privacy laws, we honor user-enabled opt-out preference signals such as Global Privacy Control (GPC) for activities that constitute “sale” or “sharing” as defined by those laws. We do not use third-party advertising cookies for cross-site behavioral marketing on the B2B Site.
8. Data security
We implement administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect business information, including HTTPS for data in transit, access controls on production systems, and secure integration patterns for third-party APIs.
Cardholder data for Stripe transactions is handled under Stripe’s PCI DSS program; TipaTech does not store full card data as described in Section 5.
No electronic system is perfectly secure. If you believe business information processed through the B2B Site has been compromised, contact us using Section 12.
9. Your rights & choices
Subject to applicable law, you may have the right to:
- Access certain business-related personal information we maintain about you or your organization.
- Correct inaccurate information.
- Delete information where retention is not required by law or legitimate business needs.
- Opt out of marketing communications using unsubscribe instructions where provided.
- Adjust cookie preferences as described in Section 7.
To exercise these rights, contact us using Section 12. We may need to verify your identity or authority to act on behalf of a business. If you are a California business representative, additional rights may apply under the CCPA/CPRA - we will respond consistent with applicable law.
10. Children's privacy
The B2B Site is directed to business professionals and is not intended for individuals under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this Policy to reflect changes in our practices, features, or legal requirements. When we make material changes, we will revise the “Last Updated” date above.
